Childs Lake

Childs Lake is not noted for being a fly fishing lake, but it’s a mistake that misses out on some great action. In spring and fall when the lake trout rise into the shallows the fishing can be hot if one knows where to go on the lake. It has some of the largest splake around the Parkland and in late autumn some knowledgeable fly fishers head to certain areas to test their patterns on the species. It’s a bit large for float tubing but the folks at the lodge will be glad to deliver you to the hot spots.
