“Home of the Tokaryk Take”
Tokaryk Lake is managed cooperatively by the Municipality of Rossburn & Fisheries Branch, Manitoba Department of Sustainable Development. It is known internationally as – “Home of the Tokaryk Take”.
The take has been described as love-hate affair, that begins with a massive jerk on the end of the line, and ends with one wondering, “What the ‘h-e-double hockey sticks’ was that?” Fish have also been described as “trout of steroids”.
To find this 200 acre lake turn right (east) onto Tokaryk Lake Road; approximately 1.5km south of Patterson Lake Campground.
Tokaryk is not a FLIPPR lake although FLIPPR was hired to oversee the aeration program.
